Description:
This is a contract position for an RN in the Intensive Care Unit.
The schedule is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Candidates must have critical care experience.
The ideal candidate will be certified in BLS, ACLS, and NIH.
Team collaboration is essential in this role.
Candidates should be driven individuals willing to learn and adapt.
Constructive criticism should be welcomed, and being a team player is important.
Patient safety advocates are highly valued.
Typical patient ratios range from 1:2 to sometimes 1:1.
Procedures performed in the unit include rapid sequence intubation, CABG and valve replacements, thrombectomies, EVD insertions, MTP, and cardioversion.
Experience with equipment such as IABP, Impella, ventilators, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters is preferred.
Candidates with trauma credentials will be given consideration.
This unit is recognized for outstanding achievements in patient safety and team collaboration.
A navy scrub color is required as part of the dress code.
