LPN/LVN - MEDSURG

This position is for a LPN/LVN in a Med Surg setting. The contract duration is 13 weeks. The required shift is from 07:00 to 19:00. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience. Applicants must possess a current LPN/LVN license. BLS certification is required for consideration. The unit has 36 beds with staff consisting of RNs and LVNs, PCTs, and leadership roles.

The typical patient ratio is between 4 to 6 patients per nurse. The facility utilizes an electronic medical record system. Candidates should be team-oriented and friendly. Preferred skills include ACLS and NIH certifications. The unit emphasizes the care of surgical patients and operates with clinical pathways. The unit's pace is fast, with high admission and discharge rates. Candidates should have strong organizational skills and ability to meet discharge goals.
