Overview

Veterinary Assistant - Round Rock Location. Banfield Pet Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to work with veterinarians and veterinary technicians, advocating for pets and educating clients on pet health. Opportunities for learning and development are available for career advancement.

• Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times, ensuring client and pet comfort in the hospital.
• Use technical skills daily within state practice acts and NAVTA guidelines for veterinary assistant skills and duties.
• Help maintain the flow of patients and communicate with the veterinarian and vet techs.
• Carry out or set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and maintain clean and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and labs.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and the importance of preventive care.
• Mentor other members of the hospital team.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have completely open availability (able to work any day of the week and any shift).
