Veterinary Technician – Dentistry and Oral Surgery

Full-time:
Tue-Friday, 4 day, 10 hour shift.

Round Rock, TX

Heart of Texas is looking for a Dentistry and Oral Surgery Vet Tech to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. The estimated start date is at the end of April 2025.

About You

Dentistry & oral surgery veterinary technicians perform a variety of animal health duties and ensure quality pet and client care. The dentistry technician should be proficient in client communication and patient care duties including but not limited to animal handling, venipuncture, medical math, pre- and post-operative care, anesthesia monitoring, dental radiographs, and professional dental cleaning including ultrasonic scaling, polishing, and use of hand instruments for subgingival scaling and perioceutic application.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of dental, surgical, imaging and laboratory techniques, and remain calm during stressful situations. An interest in gaining further knowledge and training to assist with specialized dental therapies such as endodontics, orthodontics, and advanced oral surgical procedures is a must!

Job Requirements
  • 3+ years of veterinary technician/veterinary assistant experience required
  • 2+ years anesthesia experience required
  • LVT or VTS preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
