Salary Range - $55,000-$75,000
In this role, you’ll be responsible for assisting the Executive Pastry Chef and pastry team in the success of all bake shop operations, ensuring the proper preparation of all baked items for the Resort's restaurants and food and beverage outlets, with a focus on day-to-day pastry production and operations. Acts as second-in-command, ensuring smooth operations and consistent standards when the Executive Pastry Chef is away.
Weekends, evenings, and holiday availability are a must.
What You’ll Do:- Works with the pastry team to produce quality pastries and service.
- Use proper procedures and techniques for the creation of attractive, professional pastry items.
- Inspect all bakery items upon completion to ensure they have been prepared correctly and attractively.
- We require a background of at least 2-3 years of progressive pastry experience with 1-2 years of bake shop management experience, preferably in a large volume environment such as a multi-unit hotel or resort.
- Basic knowledge of P&L, food cost/inventory management, recipe costing, kitchen sanitation, and food safety regulations.
- Prior BEO experience is preferred.
