Overview

Retail Store Manager to join our Team. Compensation includes an hourly rate of $20.00 to $26.48 per hour plus a very lucrative monthly bonus based on store performance. Earned Wage Access, commissions, and a comprehensive benefits package are available.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Store Manager with 2+ years of management and customer service experience (retail/sales is a PLUS). The Store Manager will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. They will lead, coach, and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, and maximize financial goals while managing Customer Relations and Customer Satisfaction.

The Store Manager will analyze the store's financial statements to ensure goals are met and adjust as necessary. They commit to the asset protection program through inventory control, policies, procedures, and securing customer loans. They will promote the business using internal and external marketing tools and work with a variety of products, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

This position offers a competitive wage plus a bonus based on store performance and reports to the area District Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and follow procedures to protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing loans.
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and self-development training as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, bending, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) as required by law.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May assist customers exterior to the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
  • Store Managers will work 45+ hours a week; hours are based on business needs and are not guaranteed.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills; cash handling experience required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

Commission Plan

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Store Managers receive a commission based on the store’s monthly gross profit. Applicants will receive more details during the interview process.
