Overview

Retail Store Management Trainee to join our Team. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into a Store Management position. Minimum of 1 year retail management experience required.

Compensation

$18.50 to $26.48 per hour

Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional amount on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. The Store Manager Trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive/productive environment. This position partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. It sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.

Alongside the Store Manager, this position analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met. You will commit to the asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. Employees work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control and loan documentation.
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
  • Communicate store mission and profit objectives clearly to employees.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
