Job SummaryOur client, located in Round Rock, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in generating new business opportunities through outbound calling, warm calling, and engaging potential clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your sales skills within a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment. The SDR will collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to identify prospects, qualify leads, and support the overall business development strategy.
Strong communication skills, a customer‑focused mindset, and familiarity with CRM software are essential for success in this role.
- Prospect and reach out to potential customers using approved lead sources
- Qualify leads and educate prospects on industry solutions
- Schedule meetings and connect prospects with the appropriate sales team members
- Support pre‑ and post‑sales activities for the assigned business sector
- Prepare accurate quotes and bids
- Request updates or changes to bids when needed
- Review orders to ensure compliance with bid agreements
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity data in Salesforce
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and partners to gather pricing and contract details
- Track daily sales activity and performance metrics
- Participate in ongoing sales, product, and contracting training
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
- 1+ year of experience in sales, customer service, marketing, or telemarketing
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Organized, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Basic understanding of order processing, contracts, or sales operations
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field
- Experience with outbound calling and lead generation
- Knowledge of Salesforce, quoting tools, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with deal desk, order management, or customer service
