We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to generate budgeted top‑line revenue and RevPAR for Homewood Suites and Hampton Inn by Hilton – Austin Round Rock.
Job Responsibilities- Solicit, negotiate and generate contracted revenues from volume prospects that meet criteria established in the hotel business plan.
- Employ revenue‑management techniques to recommend corporate rate proposals.
- Accurately prepare and present Requests for Proposals so that both client and hotel receive a good value.
- Prospect for new contract business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, attending community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, trade journals, etc.
- Develop, implement and constantly modify sales action plans.
- Manage and maintain an accurate and up‑to‑date contact management system.
- Negotiate and close contracts that meet the hotel’s business‑plan objectives, ensuring desired arrival, departure and volume patterns are met.
- Internally communicate client requirements, thereby ensuring accurate information between client and hotel staff.
- Coordinate and participate in target‑market trade shows and sales blitzes.
- Conduct competitive analysis and maintain competitor files to compete successfully.
- Maintain good rapport with local civic groups and companies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and familiarity with brand‑specific Property Management System(s).
- Excellent communication, presentation, organization, time‑management, and listening skills.
- Analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.
- Negotiate and close contracts that meet the hotel’s business‑plan objectives.
- Solicit, negotiate and generate contracted revenues from volume prospects that meet criteria established in the hotel business.
- Develop, implement and constantly modify sales action plans.
- Address customer complaints and concerns by acting as the company representative to resolve and find amicable solutions.
- Employ revenue‑management techniques to recommend corporate rate proposals.
- Ability to speak and hear in English, and standard vision.
- Frequent sitting with some walking and standing; frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
- Continuous use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with periodic use of bi‑manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Stand for long periods, walk extended distances, and lift/carry 6–25 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime and irregular hours.
- Generally works in normal office conditions and in close proximity to others.
- Education: Associates Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to customer appointments.
