Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Technician, Installation Technician

The Patch Boys of North Austin, a well‑established drywall repair company, is looking to add a full‑time multi‑skilled drywall repair technician. The position offers $225 per day, 1099 status, daily work availability, and a company‑provided tool kit. You will be expected to perform repair, patching, finishing, and texture work on both new and existing walls and ceilings. Up to two jobs per day are available within the Georgetown–South Austin corridor.

Requirements include a reliable truck or van capable of carrying up to two 4x8 sheetrock panels, proof of vehicle insurance, a smartphone with a data plan, and a clean driving record. The role starts as a 1099 and may transition to a more permanent arrangement if performance is satisfactory.

• Texture and refinish plaster services.
• Work on new walls and ceilings, and repair existing walls.
• Determine and clearly identify materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.
• Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues, and present a work order description to the customer.
• Fit and fasten wallboard or sheetrock in specified positions.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on framing, drywall, and trim.
• Install insulation between studs and attach a plastic moisture barrier over the installation.
• Remove plaster, drywall, or paneling as required.
• Maintain a professional and safety‑compliant work site.

• Minimum of 3 years proven experience in hanging, installing, patching, repairing, and finishing drywall, including texture matching. References required.
• Own hand tools, compressor, hopper, ladder, and other necessary tools; materials are provided by the company.
• Own a smartphone with a data plan.
