Early Intervention Specialist

Overview

Join Bluebonnet Trails Community Services as an Early Intervention Specialist (EIS). In this role you will work with infants, toddlers, and families to promote development and empower parents to overcome challenges.

• Collaborate with families, health professionals, and community partners to assess needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and monitor progress.
• Deliver specialized skills training in functional development using engaging, developmentally appropriate strategies.
• Provide case‑management support, connecting families to resources, services, and advocacy, ensuring understanding of rights and options.
• Use coaching model techniques to support parents in integrating interventions into everyday routines.
• Apply trauma‑informed care principles to create a safe, supportive environment for families.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Family Studies, Child Development, or related field with at least 9 semester‑hour credits in child development and 3 semester‑hour credits in early childhood intervention.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Certification training in early intervention required within first year of employment.

• Fluency in Spanish (spoken, read, and written).
• Comprehensive knowledge of typical and atypical development in children birth‑to‑three years.
• Experience working with diverse cultural families and understanding family dynamics.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, time‑management, organizational skills, and basic computer skills.
