Recreation Shift Lead

Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District, located in Round Rock, Texas, just minutes north of Austin, serves over 18,000 residents and offers water, wastewater services, and a range of recreational facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate evening and weekend operations, including member services, activities, programs, events, and facility maintenance under the direction of the Member Services and Rental Supervisor.
  • Inspect rooms regularly and submit work orders as needed.
  • Recruit, train, and provide ongoing performance support for staff to maintain excellent service delivery.
  • Offer input to leadership on policies, strategies, and membership initiatives.
  • Oversee the setup, use, and cleanup of special events, rentals, and programs; manage room assignments, supplies, and schedules while promoting Community Center offerings.
  • Serve as person in charge during evening and weekend shifts, ensuring safety and security by enforcing policies, locking doors, setting alarms, and documenting incidents.
  • Enforce all Community Center rules and District policies, addressing and resolving issues with professionalism and fairness.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by answering questions, providing facility and program information, and assisting with member concerns.
  • Oversee staff schedules for evening and weekend shifts, ensuring proper coverage and program coordination.
  • Engage with members to enhance their experience, monitor satisfaction, and strengthen brand loyalty to “The Brushy Creek Life”.
Minimum Requirements
  • Maintain current certification/license or obtain within 90 days of hire, including:
    • American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Work flexible work schedules and irregular hours, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Schedule
  • 30–39 hours per week;
    Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday shifts
