CORT Tradeshow and Events is hiring immediately for Class A CDL drivers in Austin, TX. The Delivery Driver works collaboratively as part of the Operations team and is responsible for loading, delivering, and installing furniture at trade show and event venues, including festivals, weddings, corporate events, and even the Super Bowl.

• Loading trucks:
  Inspect furniture for condition, load safely to protect products, and ensure accurate loading order.
• Operations planning & communication:
  Attend pre‑delivery meetings, maintain regular communication with the operations team and district service representatives, and report issues efficiently.
• Truck inspections:
  Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, clean and prep trucks for future shifts.
• Documentation and service logs:
  Complete required written documentation and maintain FMCSA records, operating an electronic logging device accurately.
• Driving:
  Operate tractor‑trailers, box trucks, or sprinter vans on delivery routes safely and lawfully.
• Deliveries:
  Install and assemble furniture at venues per floor plans or client instructions, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and aesthetic presentation; clean, touch up, or repair as needed.
• Pick‑ups:
  Inspect furniture for damage, load trucks, and ensure no product is left behind at venues.
• On‑site customer service:
  Interact professionally with clients during deliveries and setups, addressing questions and ensuring a positive experience.
• Supervise temporary labor:
  Instruct temporary associates on delivery, pickup, load, and unload procedures, ensuring safe and client‑compliant execution.
• Warehouse duties:
  Manually load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, and docks, and organize them within the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid and current Class A driver’s license in the state of residency.
• A minimum of 3 months of professional tractor‑trailer experience; 1 year preferred.
• Physically able to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions; able to lift 100+ pounds with a partner.
• Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
• FMSCA Regulations:
  • Drivers must read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports and records.
• Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, including passing a physical and drug screening.
• Ability to successfully pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards.
