3D Modelling Geologist

Responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of quality 3D models within established deadlines for various assigned mandates;
• Ensure quality geological interpretation in line with industry best practices;
• Communicate appropriately and work closely with the various Agnico Eagle expert groups;
• Provide relevant geological information to other technical services disciplines (mining engineering, infrastructure, geotech, environment and metallurgy) and support them by answering their questions;

• Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering. A Master's degree is an asset;
• 5+ years of experience in geology;
• 1+ years of significant 3D modelling experience;
• Be a member in good standing of a professional association (Geologists or Engineers);
• Be able to work within the established deadlines;
• Be available to travel occasionally;
• Proficiency in the use of the English language;
• Able to communicate in French or Spanish (oral and written) is an asset, as you will be working in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites where French or Spanish is the primary language;
• Significant experience on gold deposits is an asset;
• Knowledge of Leapfrog Geo is a considerable asset;
• Knowledge of Leapfrog Edge, Datamine Studio RM and Snowden Supervisor is an asset.

• Schedule:
  
  40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. Possibility of 5-2, 4-3 schedule;
• Workplace:
  Possibility to work in one of Agnico Eagle's offices closest to your residence in Rouyn-Noranda, Sudbury, Val-d'Or, Timmins, Mirabel or Toronto;
• If the candidate is located outside the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region, a regular presence will be required in the region;
• There is a possibility to have a hybrid work schedule, working some days from an Agnico Eagle office and some days in telecommuting.

Reporting to the Supervisor in Resources Modeling, you will support the needs of the 3D modelling team within the Geology team of Technical Services by participating in the interpretation of geological data. The main task will be to build 3D models based on lithological, structural and/or mineralization data. You will be part of a team of experts working on several types of projects both in terms of the degree of progress and the geological environments.
