Decarbonization Engineer at Agnico Eagle

Agnico Eagle seeks a Decarbonization Engineer to enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions in mining operations. This role supports our goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

As part of the Technical Services Infrastructure Department, you will evaluate energy use technologies, implement decarbonization projects, and ensure energy needs are met across operations. This position demands effective communication and collaboration among various operational groups while upholding Agnico Eagle’s core values of responsibility and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement energy optimization solutions

• Carry out engineering phases for decarbonization projects

• Conduct technical, economic, and financial analyses

• Facilitate project transfer between strategic and operational groups

• Support energy management and decarbonization implementations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Science or equivalent

• 10 years of engineering experience

• 5 years in energy efficiency or decarbonization

• Mining industry energy expertise

• Proficiency in English and French
