S&W Foundation is seeking a dependable and skilled Field Mechanic - Heavy Equipment to join our team. This critical role keeps our foundational drilling operations moving by servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment such as drill rigs, cranes, and excavators. You'll work independently in the field, tackling everything from preventive maintenance to emergency breakdowns, ensuring our fleet is safe, reliable, and ready for the toughest jobs.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy machinery (drill rigs, cranes, excavators, and related equipment).
• Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and track adjustments.
• Travel to job sites daily with company truck and tools, providing field support.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair status to supervisors.
• Ensure all equipment is safe, reliable, and fully operational before leaving the site.
• Report parts needs to shop manager for timely ordering and inventory management.

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with heavy equipment or diesel mechanics.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.

• Competitive hourly pay: $28 - $35 per hour (DOE).
