Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Engineer . This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Leverage your technical experience and understanding of production processes for PWB (Printed Wiring Boards), CCAs (Circuit Card Assemblies), and LRUs (Line Replaceable Units) to support and enhance manufacturing operations.
Embrace a can-do attitude and actively participate in a startup program by learning, advising, and guiding team members in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.
Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including Manufacturing Readiness Assessments, total quality management, manufacturing equipment, facilities engineering, process reengineering and establish sector business area procedural documentation.
May facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product tooling, problem resolution, and process improvement.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience OR Master's Degree with 3 years of experience or 1 year with PhD. 4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
3 years of experience working manufacturing engineering on EMD/LRIP/Production Programs including Manufacturing Readiness maturity plans and CDRL development
3 years of experience in medium to large scale projects in electrical or electronic systems
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Certified IPC specialist
Experience with PWB/CCAs and LRU’s
Experience with CPLM (Common Product Life Cycle Management) and or Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
