Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an On-Board Test Equipment Electrical Engineering Manager
2. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.
- Lead design decisions and provide technical direction to the On-Board Test Equipment (OBTE) Electrical Design and Integration team.
- Provide technical direction and support to the hardware, software, and systems engineering teams in the development and documentation of hardware/software interfaces, including electrical harness design, routing, and RF system design. Provide technical oversight and issue resolution for OBTE hardware during development and test.
- Assist OBTE Management and OBTE Chief Engineer in risk identification and tracking, especially risks associated with Flight Termination and Telemetry.
- Support fabrication and manufacturing of electrical components for flight testing.
- Promotes the professional development of the Homeroom workforce and fosters a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement, inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth, and continuous improvement.
- Managing and guiding direct report annual goals, performance evaluations, and compensation reviews.
- Ensure accurate time charging and time‑card approvals.
- Conflict resolution, managing performance issues, and improvement plans.
- Career growth mentoring for team of direct reports.
- Aligning direct reports to technical roles based on program needs; helping identify stretch assignments and opportunities—work as the integration lead for all elements across the weapon system that interact with On‑Board Test Equipment.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with a minimum of 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance with an in‑scope investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Must be eligible to obtain Enhanced Security Clearances (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- At least 1 year of proven demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- At least 1 year of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule in an Electrical Design organization in a lead or managerial role.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a combination of the following:
Flight Test Instrumentation (strain gages, accelerometers, data bus measurements), RF antenna design and testing, Circuit Card Assemblies, Cable‑Harness design and fabrication, wire…
