Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal / Sr Principal Electrical Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You'll Get To Do:
* Plan and design cable routes around facilities, cabinet racks, and LRUs.

* Conduct LRU interface research, process documents, and collaborate with other engineers to determine the best design for each set of cables.

* Perform circuit design and analysis, such as overall power analysis for component and rack-level systems, line loss analysis, and bent pin analysis.

* Develop interconnect drawings in Capital.

* Develop Product Definition Packages (PDPs) and take them through the full review and release process in CPLM.

* Interface and coordination with external stakeholders such as PM&P, EEE, Safety, and others.

* Demonstrate technical skills, strong organizational abilities, effective communication, and problem-solving skills while maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

* Exhibit a commitment to ethics and integrity, as well as a capacity for innovation. Must be able to operate effectively in a team environment and collaborate across the program to accomplish assigned tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, or 0 years of experience with a Master's degree.

* Electrical Engineer with some experience with hardware design

* Must know how to design schematics and excel in detailed design work

* Comfortable with understanding mil-specs and capable of clarifying system hardware requirements.

* Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance at the time of application; the clearance must be current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.

* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

* An active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope

* Capital Logic, Harness, and Systems Architect tool experience

* Experience with Siemens Team Center PLM

* Hardware system architecture design and development experience

* Electrical hardware design expertise (not just cables)

* IPC 620 experience

* Facility wiring experience (power or low voltage signal) including
