This role supports Production Operation Systems and Technology. The technical SME will support Industrial Engineering, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), and related functions within digital tools such as SAP, CPLM, and Smart
MES. The candidate will bring strategic thinking, data analysis, customer focus, and strong communication skills.
- Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering fundamentals (Production Intervals, Cycle Times, Forecasting, Takt Time, Continuous Improvement)
- Creating and distributing Master Schedule products (Firing Order, Cycle Projections, Baseline, scenarios)
- Proficient in capacity principles (efficiencies, standards, constraints)
- Knowledge of manufacturing flows and interface with shop floor and Global Supply Chain
- Develop cost/benefit summaries and recommendations for leadership
- Experience with Project Management and manufacturing schedule software tools
- Understanding of schedule waterfall builds with setbacks to independent demands
- Utilize process improvement methodologies (value stream mapping, employee engagement, flow reduction)
- Experience with cost management (Earned Value, Milestone payments)
- Data analysis and/or data mining
- Engage and collaborate with programs and functional organizations to understand manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements
- Combine material flow management expertise with financial knowledge
- Work autonomously with minimal supervision, developing achievable production schedules for an entire factory
- Document, track, and monitor problems for timely resolution
- Strong organizational, planning, and decision‑making skills; team collaboration across technical backgrounds

The position’s standard work schedule is 9/80 (nine‑hour days Monday–Thursday with every other Friday off). Relocation assistance may be competitive.
Job Qualifications You’ll Bring These Qualifications- 12 Years with Bachelors in Science; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD
- Obtain DoD Interim Secret clearance before start and maintain Secret clearance afterward
- Obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period
- Experience with MPS and SAP scheduling principles
- Previous planning experience and MRP logic understanding
- Experience in a digital manufacturing environment using core systems PLM/ERP/MES
- Strong SAP MRP background (Material Requirements Planning, Grouping, Pegging, Distribution, Production Orders, Purchase Orders, Inventory)
- Experience in a manufacturing setting
- Detail oriented, organized, high sense of urgency
- Performance of system integration testing
- Writing functional specifications
- Flexible schedule for out‑of‑service system testing
- Leading cross‑functional teams
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Highly motivated self‑starter, detail and quality oriented, independent worker
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology / industrial engineering or related field preferred
- Active DoD Secret clearance at application time
- 6+ years experience in SAP
- Experience in CPLM & SmartMES
- Experience in industrial engineering
- Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project, Power Point
- SAP Certifications
- Experience with MRP and MPS in SAP
Primary Level Salary Range: $ – $
Salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Annual bonuses reward individual and company results. VP/Director levels may receive Long‑Term Incentives.
