Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Staff Systems Engineer to join its team. This position is in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

The Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Systems Engineer to join the team supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirements traceability, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification.

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

• Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop rigorous and proper systems engineering and design artifacts.
• Work with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature WS design of a large program.
• Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.
• Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical).
• Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
• Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration)

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

#Sentinel Systems

• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 8 years of experience with Master's degree, 6 years of experience with PhD
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
• 4+ years of experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems
• 4+ years of experience in developing and executing Systems Engineering process governance documentation in a DoD Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase
• 3+ years of experience in team environments with technical leadership responsibilities
• 3+ years of experience in creating, updating, and maintaining requirements specifications in DOORS
• 2+ years of experience on large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production.
• 3+ years of experience in creating, updating, and maintaining Model-Based Systems Engineering products
