Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Industrial Engineer.  This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program as well as other programs. What You’ll Get To Do:
This role will support Production Operation Systems and Technology. The role will be the technical SME for the division to support IE, MPS, and related functions within our digital tools such as SAP, CPLM, and Smart

MES. The preferred candidate will be an individual with a bias for action, strategic thinking, data analysis, problem-solving, exceptional customer focus, communications, and a sound foundation in Material Planning and Production Control practices. The qualified applicant will have a working knowledge and understanding of Industrial Engineering, capacity, and methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. The candidate must have knowledge and experience of master production scheduling and material requirements planning, an understanding of the SAP MRP system, and how scheduling and capacity work within the system.

General skills and expectations within the role include:
Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering fundamentals. (Production Intervals, Cycle Times, Forecasting, Manufacturing Experience, Takt Time, Continuous Improvement)       Experience in Creating and distributing Master Schedule products (Firing Order, Cycle Projections, Baseline, scenarios analysis, and projections)       Proficient in the principles of capacity (efficiencies, standards, constraints, etc.)       Knowledge of manufacturing flows and their interface with shop floor and Global Supply Chain.
Develops cost/risk benefit summaries and recommendations for leadership.

Experience with Project Management and manufacturing schedules Software tools.
Understanding of schedule waterfall builds with setbacks to independent demands.
Utilizes process improvement methodology (e.g., value stream mapping, employee engagement techniques, flow reduction, etc.)       

Experience with cost management (Earned Value, Milestone payments)       

Experience with data analysis and/or data mining       Engage and collaborate with programs and functional organizations (from individual contributors to executive staff) to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements.
Proven ability to combine material flow management expertise with outstanding information knowledge.

Experience with the financial aspects of the business.
