Principal​/Sr Principal Systems Security Engineer

Northrop Grumman is hiring a Principal Systems Security Engineer (T-03) / Sr. Principal Systems Security Engineer (T-04) to support the Sentinel program in Roy, Utah.

• Support the SSE Risk Assessment Team in executing Program Initiatives
• Review and recommend system security designs to relevant stakeholders
• Assess and propose mitigations for system security vulnerabilities and risks across the program life cycle
• Execute completion Statement of Work requirements, Program Milestone Exit Criteria, and program maturity commitments
• Support MDT with other duties as assigned

• US Citizenship
• Active DoD Secret Clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access within a timeframe determined by the company to meet business needs
• Demonstratable experience researching, interpreting, and developing mitigations for vulnerabilities
• Demonstratable experience creating risks and developing mitigation plans for those risks
• Strong written communication skills, including experience developing documentation
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) from an accredited university
• Experience with degree: 5 years with a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a Master’s degree, or 1 year with a PhD

• Experience researching, analyzing, and prioritizing identified vulnerabilities
• Experience communicating technical approaches and findings clearly
• Direct experience conducting supply chain risk management or program protection practices
• Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools
• Experience executing Risk Management Framework practices as described in NIST SP 800-37
• Experience with operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, internal counter-espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation), and/or physical security analysis (facilities analysis and security management)
• Experience applying Program Protection principles to US Government Defense Programs, including applied knowledge of SSE principles across a broad spectrum of security measures (Cybersecurity, Counterfeit Awareness, Anti-Tamper, HW/SW Assurance, OPSEC, etc.) to protect critical program information (CPI)
• Experience with Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Systems
• Experience performing Trusted Systems and Networks (TSN) analyses
• Familiarization with DODI 5200.44
• Experience performing Cybersecurity Risk Assessments
• Experience applying and understanding Systems Security Engineering principles for US Government Defense Programs and/or US Military Programs

• Systems Engineer (T03 Level): Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university plus 5 years experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a Master’s degree, or 1 year with a PhD
• Principal Systems Engineer (T04 Level): Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university plus 8 years experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a Master’s degree, or 4 years with a PhD

• Standard work schedule: 9/80 (nine-hour day Monday through Thursday; every other Friday off)
