Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Project Manager
. This position will be located in Roy, UT
. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Responsibilities
  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization.
  • Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex tasks.
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
  • Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
  • Most assignments are complex and performed independently without appreciable direction.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
  • Effects of decisions are long‑lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization.
  • Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources as well as problems with customer satisfaction.
  • Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
  • Acts as an advisor to senior management and customers.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications
  • Principal Project Manager: 5 Years with Bachelor’s; 3 Years with Master’s; 1 Year with PhD. An additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Sr. Principal Project Manager: 8 Years with Bachelor’s; 6 Years with Master’s; 4 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification.
  • Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high level review.
  • Ability to provide and implement solutions to advanced problems which require ingenuity and innovation.
  • Experience with CAM responsibilities.
  • Experience in DoD programs.
  • Ability to obtain SAP clearance.
  • Experience working RCCAs.
  • Experience in operating within Six Sigma principles.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $

Secondary Level Salary Range: $ - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
