• Install, configure, and maintain cloud-based servers, storage, and applications.
• Proactively monitor cloud systems for performance, security issues, and potential problems, then implement solutions to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
• Use scripting languages to automate routine administrative tasks, improving efficiency and reducing human error.
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Work with development teams, security personnel, and other stakeholders to meet evolving business requirements.

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree with 1 year experience; alternatively, 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree (for Cloud Dev Ops Engineer).
• Principal Cloud Dev Ops Engineer:
  Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience;
  Master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with 0+ years, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret, etc.).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills.
• Currently holds an IAT Level II certification per DoD 8570.01 such as CompTIA Security+ CE.
• Experience supporting Cloud platform infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience supporting Windows enterprise architecture or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Experience with infrastructure components, including networking, storage, and IT security concepts.
• Experience in scripting for automation (Power Shell, Python, Bash).
• Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration Management tools (Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, Ansible).

• Proficiency in AWS cloud platform infrastructure management & services.
• Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server operating systems.
• Networking knowledge with VPCs, Load Balancers, DNS, Firewall Rules, and Security Groups.
• Proficient with IaC and Configuration Management tools (Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, Ansible).
• Experience with Containerization and Orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, AWS Lambda).
• Experience with secrets (Vault) and artifact management (Nexus, Harbor).
• Experience and understanding of working within DoD cybersecurity compliance guidelines.
