* Employee Discounts This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You'll Get To Do:
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Cloud Dev Ops Engineer who will take part in the design, build, deploy, and maintenance of cloud-based systems and infrastructure to help the Digital Ecosystem Segment store data, run applications, and manage IT services efficiently and securely.
* Install, configure, and maintain cloud-based servers, storage, and applications.

* Proactively monitor cloud systems for performance, security issues, and potential problems, then implement solutions to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.

* Use scripting languages to automate routine administrative tasks, improving efficiency and reducing human error.

* Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures

* Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance

* Work with development teams, security personnel, and other stakeholders to meet evolving business requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

* Cloud Dev Ops Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience;
Master's Degree with 1 year experience or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

* Principal Cloud Dev Ops Engineer:
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience;
Master's degree with 3 years, PhD 0+ years or 9 years of related experience in lieu of degree.

* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.)
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business need.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills

* Currently holds an IAT Level II certification per DoD 8570.01 such as CompTIA Security+ CE

* Experience supporting Cloud platform infrastructure (ex. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

* Experience supporting Windows enterprise architecture or supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

* Experience with infrastructure components, including networking, storage, and IT security concepts.

* Experience in scripting for automation (ex. Power Shell, Python, Bash)

* Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration Management tools (ex. Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, Ansible)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Proficiency in AWS cloud platform Infrastructure management & services.

* Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server operating systems.
