Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sentinel Sr. Program Manager 3, Deputy to the Director of GN&C GSI IPT. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.
Responsibilities- As Senior Program manager, you will be the Delegate of Authority to the GN&C GSI Director, responsible for programmatic oversight and making decisions on their behalf, brief internal and external customers and Sentinel program leadership on status and challenges
- Provide oversight of project execution in collaboration with GSI product team leads—Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, Analysis and Algorithms, and Software—to ensure effective implementation of program goals and deliverables
- Execute the Sentinel program operational rhythm, maintaining momentum and ensuring timely progress at all phases of the program
- Lead proposal efforts, developing comprehensive proposals that meet organizational standards and customer needs, and integrate successful proposals into the program baseline
- Develop and implement strategies to efficiently execute the full scope of work for various initiatives, promoting continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives
- Track and report on program performance and execution metrics for cost and schedule, including Earned Value Management (EVMS)
- Establish and track progress toward key project milestones in accordance with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Assist in developing and providing status for IPT inputs to the program risk and opportunity management system
- Program Manager responsibilities include:
- Manages a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting & operating to objectives & providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives & company policy
- Planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for related Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large technical services-type contract
- Advanced level of understanding in a specialized field or general understanding of several diverse disciplines. Involves a broad grasp of involved practices and procedures
- Regularly requires analysis of alternative courses of action. Decisions have risk/reward implications for program or area of influence
- Helps meet established schedules or resolve technical or operational problems. Typically accomplishes results through lower level(s) of management or exempt employees
- Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long‑range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in critical

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
