Overview

Sentinel - Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst (level 3 or
4) 15585 - R at Northrop Grumman.

Location:

Roy, UT. This position supports the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. The role involves the sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for ICBM Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and related infrastructure. This position may be filled at a Principal or Sr. Principal level based on qualifications.

What You’ll Do

The selected supplier scheduler is responsible for multiple tasks within the management and integration of IPMDAR supplier schedules into the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Tasks include schedule assessment, compliance tracking, integration planning, and execution. You will evaluate and review suppliers’ submitted schedules to ensure they meet project requirements and timelines, monitor supplier adherence to contractual milestones and deliverables, and ensure alignment with program objectives and deadlines.

You will develop and maintain a plan for integrating supplier schedules with the broader program IMS, identify dependencies, and mitigate scheduling conflicts. You will coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to execute schedule integration, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed. You will act as the primary liaison between suppliers and the program management team, maintaining clear communication regarding schedule status, risks, and updates, contributing to the seamless execution of project goals.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with business management and project management staff to develop an integrated program measurement baseline to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program.
  • Perform schedule risk analyses and work with the program manager to resolve risky schedules, critical path issues, and network logic conflicts.
  • Perform thorough project analysis through metrics reviews and predictive analysis to enhance cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Utilize Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.
  • Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by tracking outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic cost and schedule baselines.
  • Participate in month-end Earned Value reporting close activities.
Basic Qualifications
  • U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience; or a master’s degree with 3 years; or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree. (Sr. Principal level: bachelor’s degree and 8 years; or master’s and 6 years; or 12 years in lieu of a degree.)
  • Experience with any scheduling software including MS Project, P6 Primavera, Deltek Open Plan, Deltek Cobra/MPM, Deltek Acumen, or other Schedule Risk Assessment tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel.
  • Aerospace/Defense industry experience.
  • Excel Macro/VBA skills.
  • Strong analytical ability.

The standard work schedule is 9/80. This role may offer relocation assistance. Salary ranges:
Primary Level $86,600.00 - $;
Secondary Level $ - $. Final offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
