Software Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD)/Sentinel program. Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems powered by large data sets, real‑time processing, algorithm development, and business management information systems.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software components in object‑oriented languages such as Java or C++.
• Interpret complex algorithms and requirements for implementation.
• Participate in UI design and development.
• Use Model‑Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts.
• Apply software development and design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Support hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, COTS integration, and requirements analysis from system level to component level.

• Secret clearance with SAP eligibility.
• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline.
• 5 years of experience (Level
  1) or 10 years (Level
  2) or 15 years (Level
  3).

• Agile, C/C++, Java/JS expertise and real‑time processing including processes, threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms, and memory management.
• Experience with Atlassian tools, JIRA/Confluence, and Git products.
• Full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debugging, maintenance.
• Safety‑critical and nuclear‑critical software development (DO‑178C, AFMAN 91‑119, DO‑330, etc.).
• Structured process‑driven development environment: peer reviews, revision control, defect tracking, build release practices.
• Middleware development drivers: RTOS, Linux, VxWorks, and anti‑tampering (cryptographic, secure communications, logging, secure deployment).
• Applied automated testing techniques: unit and integration testing.
• Test framework/application and system verification.
