Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Principal/Sr Principal Software Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. The selected individual will provide SW development for the Integration and Test organization and do the following:
• Design and define system architecture for new or existing Software Products
• Develop Software in an agile development environment
• Design automated test procedures for test execution teams
• Work with the lead test engineer and a team of software developers to establish and develop automated tools

• Employee Discounts This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Basic Qualifications:

• Principal software Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelor's in related field of study, 3 Years with Masters, 1 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• Sr. Principal Software Engineer: 8 Years with Bachelor's in related field of study, 6 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree. Required for both levels:
• US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
• Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
• Experience with Agile and working in a cross-function Scrum team.
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
• Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Principles
• Experience programming in object oriented (C++, Python, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) languages (SysML/UML) and concepts
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Familiar with Software Development Plans
• Familiar with Software Engineering best practices
• Experience demonstrating excellent technical leadership, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills, effectively engaging with various stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
