Bookkeeper

We’re partnering with a successful and expanding accountancy practice that is looking to add a talented Bookkeeper to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, client interaction, and working within a supportive practice environment. Working closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, you’ll take ownership of a wide range of bookkeeping and practice support duties.

• Monthly and quarterly bookkeeping for clients across multiple industries
• Maintaining accurate financial records:
  purchase/sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, journals
• Preparing and submitting a range of VAT returns including Standard VAT, Partial exemption, Margin scheme, Flat rate scheme.

• Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Providing occasional assistance with Trust administration
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Collaborating with the wider team and contributing to a positive working culture

• Bookkeeping experience (within accountancy practice)
• Strong VAT knowledge, including partial exemption and margin schemes
• Experience using accountancy software
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
• Confident communication skills and a professional approach
• Experience with Trust administration (advantageous but not essential)
