Overview

Streetworks Operative – VGC Group. We are recruiting an experienced Streetworks Operative to join our team on a busy infrastructure project.

Location:

Various UK Projects. Pay Rate: £20.36 per hour (PAYE).

Hours:

50 per week.

Contract:

PAYE Contract of Employment.

The Role:

As a Streetworks Operative, you will support civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. • Carrying out street works and excavation activities in line with project requirements.
• Setting up and maintaining safe work zones, barriers, and traffic management systems.
• Assisting with reinstatement works and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Working closely with site teams to maintain productivity and safety standards.
• Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures on site.

• Valid CSCS Card or GQA/Q Card
• Valid EUSR or NRSWA Streetworks Qualification
• Previous experience in a Streetworks Operative role
• Good understanding of site health and safety requirements
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)

• £20.36 per hour PAYE
• 50 hours per week
• Holiday entitlement accrual
• Eligibility to join the VGC Pension Scheme (subject to qualifying criteria)
