Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience before pursuing a career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health, Speech & Language Therapy, or Teaching?

We are recruiting compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils in a welcoming and supportive special school in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your practical skills while making a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including autism, learning difficulties, and communication needs.
Work alongside experienced teachers and therapists to deliver engaging learning activities.
Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, independence, and personal development.
Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Support pupils both in the classroom and during break times and school activities.

We're Looking For

A degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject).
A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
Previous experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is beneficial but not essential.

Requirements

An enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.
Right to work in the UK.
Availability to work Monday to Friday (part-time hours can also be considered)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
