Metrology Applications Engineer

Location: Leamington Spa
Salary: 32,000 package + bonus + car allowance
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am . 5:30pm
Travel: Approximately 30-50% across the UK, with occasional international travel

A leading engineering technology business is looking for an Applications Engineer to join its growing technical team, supporting a portfolio of advanced 3D scanning, additive manufacturing and digital manufacturing technologies.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role combining applications engineering, technical support, product demonstrations, training and equipment installation.

• Install, support and troubleshoot 3D scanning and additive manufacturing systems

• Deliver technical demonstrations, training and workshops to customers

• Support sales teams with technical advice during pre-sales activities

• Provide ongoing applications support to existing customers

• Assist with servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance

• Produce customer sample parts and support manufacturing projects

• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, tolerances and technical specifications

• Travel to customer sites across the UK and occasionally overseas

• Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design or similar

• Good working knowledge of CAD software

• Experience with in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, product development or technical support

• Confident communicating and presenting technical information to customers

• Hands-on problem-solving ability and strong customer focus

• Full UK driving licence

Experience with 3D scanning, additive manufacturing, metrology, CNC machining, injection moulding or prototyping would be highly advantageous.
