Join us for an exciting 18‑month project supporting a large, dynamic organisation through key payroll activity, system enhancements and continuous improvement work. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, influence change and be part of a payroll function that truly values expertise, accuracy and collaboration.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead monthly payroll processing activities for a workforce of over 4,000 colleagues.
- Support tax year end, P11
Ds and statutory reporting deadlines. - Help shape and improve payroll processes, controls and service standards.
- Contribute to system upgrades and technology enhancements.
- Act as a trusted expert for all payroll queries and compliance matters.
- Analyse payroll data, spot anomalies and drive corrective action.
- Work closely with pensions, HR and finance partners to ensure seamless delivery.
- Strong UK payroll knowledge and experience managing complex, high‑volume payrolls.
- Hands‑on experience with statutory reporting (Tax Year End, P11
Ds, Payrolling Benefits). - Good working knowledge of payroll systems (Resource Link experience a bonus).
- Excellent attention to detail and confidence analysing payroll data.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to manage queries independently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- A recognised payroll qualification or working towards one is a plus, but not essential.
- Competitive hourly rate: ÂŁ17-ÂŁ19 per hour >
