Puzzle Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking someone with a good working knowledge of the English language and an interest in puzzles to join a small team creating engaging in-game content across our range of word and picture-based puzzle titles.

In this role, you will help deliver fun, high-quality puzzles for a global audience, with an awareness of language, context, and current trends. You will be organised and able to manage tasks, deadlines, and content efficiently. As content creation is fast-paced and constantly evolving, you will need to be adaptable, flexible, and proactive in responding to new challenges.

Work with the Content Manager to:

• Develop and design a range of engaging and challenging word puzzles, including crosswords.
• Research and incorporate diverse themes and topics into puzzle content.
• Fact-check content to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Stay up to date with trends in puzzle design and word games.
• Proofread and, where necessary, edit colleagues’ work for clarity and precision.
• Contribute ideas for time-limited events.

Previous games industry and puzzle making experience are not required, however the following are essential.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
• Ability to quickly learn and use bespoke software tools.
• Strong command of vocabulary and grammar.
• Effective communication skills.
• Comfortable receiving and acting on feedback.
• Experience working in an office-based team environment.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
