Contract Type: 6 Month Contract or Permanent.

Location:

Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Salary: £15.58 - £16.68 per hour PAYE / Salary £29,000 - £31,000.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday.

We are seeking to employ a fully skilled Quality Inspector – Laser Crack Detection to increase our capability and capacity in this area, focusing on small batch work. This role involves working in a small team to deliver high-quality transmission components, mainly for the motor sport and aerospace industries, with a right-first-time philosophy.

• Interpret and inspect components from technical drawings and planning route cards to the highest quality and within routed time frames.
• Perform inspections using manual measuring equipment and table work to verify parts against drawing or planning requirements.
• Operate and contribute to laser crack detection processes.
• Support small-batch, high-precision inspection of prismatic transmission components.
• Contribute to problem solving, continuous improvement, and supporting wider team objectives.
• Work additional hours where required to meet KPIs and delivery deadlines.

• Strong understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerances.
• Experience with manual measuring equipment and precision inspection techniques.
• Programming experience on CMM and knowledge of Mitutoyo software is advantageous.
• Proactive, innovative, and team-oriented, with a strong focus on problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Flexible in supporting other areas of manufacturing when required.
