The Opportunity

ITS Property Maintenance is currently seeking a Skilled Roofer to join our operational team on a fixed-term, 12-week contract. This role has been created to provide additional support during the winter period and assist with improving workflow efficiency across ongoing works.

The position is based in Stratford-upon-Avon, with regular travel to nearby locations, therefore a flexible and mobile approach is essential.

Applicants must supply their own van and cordless power tools. A fuel contribution oper mile will be provided.

Role Summary

Working across occupied residential and communal properties, you will be responsible for delivering reactive roofing repairs and maintenance, ensuring all works are completed safely, professionally, and to a high standard.

You will be expected to work with minimal supervision, identify roofing defects, complete repairs efficiently, and clearly report any further remedial works required to your supervisor. A strong focus on first-time completion, resident satisfaction, and compliance with health and safety standards is essential.

Project Background

ITS Property Maintenance works in partnership with a client who is supporting a housing portfolio across Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Nuneaton, Northampton, Milton Keynes, and Bedford.

The contract spans multiple work streams, including Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works, and Re-Roofing, offering varied and consistent work opportunities.

Key Duties

Completing reactive roofing repairs on a range of property types

Repairing and renewing pitched and flat roofs, including slate, tile, and torch-on systems

Carrying out general roof maintenance works

Repairing, replacing, and maintaining rainwater goods

Working from scaffolding and completing scaffold safety checks

Diagnosing faults and reporting additional work requirement

Maintaining productivity while working within time and cost targets

Delivering high-quality workmanship with minimal oversight

Operating in full compliance with company health & safety policies

Preferred Experience & Skills

NVQ or recognised qualification in roofing or a related trade (or proven experience in place of formal qualifications)

PASMA certification and experience completing scaffold inspections (training can be provided if required)

Strong understanding of health & safety and working at height regulations

Full UK driving licence

Own van and cordless power tools

Ability to pass a DBS check due to working in occupied homes and vulnerable settings
