Lead Child Protection Practitioner | Warwickshire | £38 per Hour
Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Child Protection Practitioner to join Warwickshire County Council's Children's Services team, based at the Warwickshire Justice Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Warwickshire's new operating model, working collaboratively alongside Social Workers to deliver high quality safeguarding and child protection services to children and families across the county.
Key Responsibilities:
Co-work complex child protection and safeguarding cases alongside Social Workers.
Lead and support on child protection planning and intervention.
Undertake and contribute to Strategy Meetings and multi-agency safeguarding discussions.
Chair Child Protection Conferences and ensure robust safeguarding plans are developed and reviewed.
Provide practice leadership, professional challenge and support to frontline teams.
Work in partnership with children, families and a broad range of multi-agency professionals.
Ensure all work is completed in line with statutory guidance, legislation and best practice standards.
About You:
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Significant experience within Children's Safeguarding and Child Protection services.
Experience of chairing meetings and conferences within a statutory setting.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, assessment frameworks and safeguarding procedures.
Ability to influence, challenge and support practice improvement.
Excellent communication, report writing and relationship-building skills.
