Ultimate Recruitment is looking for an experienced Dispatch Supervisor to join one of our busy clients based in Coventry.
Job DetailsMonday to Friday
Shifts available: 06:00-14:30, 10:30-19:00, 19:00-03:30, 21:30-06:00

- Supervise and coordinate daily dispatch operations to ensure timely and efficient vehicle departures.
- Monitor dispatch activity and ensure all deliveries and collections are completed within scheduled times.
- Communicate with drivers, warehouse teams and management to resolve operational issues.
- Allocate work and support the dispatch team to maintain smooth day-to-day operations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate dispatch reports and transport documentation.
- Track shipments and ensure all system records are kept up to date.
- Support the Control Tower team with daily planning and operational administration.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety and company procedures.
- Handle incoming calls and emails relating to dispatch and transport queries.
- Deal with real-time operational issues and elevate where necessary.
- Provide guidance and support to Dispatch Clerks and other members of the transport team.
- Minimum 1 years experience working within a transport office environment essential.
- Previous supervisory or team-leading experience is desirable.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT and administration skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Previous experience within dispatch, transport or logistics is essential.
- Days: £15.04 per hour
- Nights: £15.54 per hour
