Physician - Heart Failure - Royal Oak

The Heart & Vascular Service Line at Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan is recruiting a full-time Heart Failure Cardiology Specialist.

Position Overview: As an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist, you will be a key member of a developing team, working to provide high quality HF care via an inpatient consultative service, outpatient clinic, and procedural work including right heart catheterization, vasodilator studies, pulmonary artery sensor implantation, and endomyocardial biopsy. Participation in other procedures such as left heart work and imaging studies may be discussed in alignment with training and documented skills.

Participation in advanced heart failure outreach clinics at other Corewell Health East campuses. Interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach with a focus on patient care and communication are mandatory. APP support is present. Shared care for VAD and transplant patients is under development, with intent to become a VAD implanting center in the future. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to program development under the guidance of experienced leadership at a respected cardiovascular institution.

• Focus on teamwork and collaborative care with medical, surgical, nursing, and administrative colleagues locally and across the Corewell system.
• Opportunity to be involved in the education and mentoring of cardiology fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students.
• Engagement in clinical research to advance the field of advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support.

• BC/BE in general cardiology as well as advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology.
• Passion for education, research and mentorship.
• Unrestricted License – Michigan MD/DO.
• Unrestricted DEA License.
