Corewell Health is offering up to $10,000 as a sign on bonus for this opportunity! The Surgical Technologist Senior position is part of a multidisciplinary team in a Level 1 Trauma Center. Corewell Health’s orthopedic and neurosurgery units are consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as national leaders, with 16 operating rooms, robotic-assisted, endoscopic, and minimally invasive surgical capabilities.
The role supports both pediatric and adult patients.
The Surgical Technologist Senior will be responsible for maintaining and preparing the surgical suite, intraoperative handling of instruments, maintaining the sterile field, and evaluating changing conditions during surgical procedures to provide appropriate responses as needed. The incumbent will maintain knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols and act as a preceptor, engaging with management and the education team on surgical technology curriculum.
Qualifications- High school diploma required.
- Associate's degree and completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program preferred.
- 3 years of independent Surgical Technologist experience. Certification must be maintained throughout employment to preserve Senior status.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
- Surgical Technologist Certified (CST) – NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery (TS‑C) NCCT required upon hire.
