Our division includes 16 operating rooms staffed by multidisciplinary teams recognized by U.S. News & World Report as national leaders in orthopedics and neurosurgery. As a Level 1 trauma center, we manage both acute trauma and elective procedures for pediatric and adult patients, utilizing advanced technologies such as robotic assistance, endoscopy, and minimally invasive techniques. Full‑time, part‑time, regular and casual positions are available, with the surgical technologist level based on years of experience.

The hospital is ranked #2 in Michigan by U.S. News & World Report and is a major academic and referral center with Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma designations. It has earned Magnet designation four consecutive times and houses Michigan’s first Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence.

The Surgical Technologist II will maintain and prepare the surgical suite, handle instruments intraoperatively, maintain the sterile field, and respond appropriately to changing conditions during procedures. The role requires up‑to‑date knowledge of surgical protocols and may involve preceptor duties.

• High school diploma (required)
• Associate degree or equivalent (required)
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent military training (not all schools require an associate degree); 1 year of equivalent experience (required)
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical surgical technologist experience (preferred)
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire (required)
