Cardiac Sonographer PRN – Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital
Scope to Work- Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations including two‑dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, M‑mode, trans‑esophageal, exercise, and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients.
- Provide instruction to medical personnel in technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology related to cardiac ultrasound.
- Act as a mentor/preceptor for other ultrasonographers and students as needed.
- Completion of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program or significant clinical experience as determined by the department.
- RDCS, CCI, or RCS credential required; no exemptions.
- BCLS certification.
- Minimum of two years full‑time experience performing all cardiac ultrasound procedures for adults.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree. - Computer literacy, analytical problem‑solving, professionalism, communication/interpersonal skills, team orientation, flexibility, and self‑motivation.
