Job Summary
:
The Clinical Support Specialist is responsible for providing clinical and operational support to our Applied Behavior Analysis program in various areas, including training of staff and parents, development of framework and implementation of service array expansion for group parent training workshops, and support to BCBA staff by assisting with data collection, pre-screening and formalized skills assessments, and implementation of written treatment and behavior plan interventions.
- Parent education:
Responsible for research, creation and implementation of parent education protocols and workshops based on evidence-based practice recommendations. - Behavior Technician training:
Create and update staff training curricula, provide initial and ongoing training to Behavior Technician positions, and monitor, collect data, and give feedback on staff performance. - Assessments: conduct formalized skills assessments.
- Data collection: collect and analyze data to inform progress on treatment and clinical performance at site.
- Clinical writing: provide support to BCBA team through preliminary clinical writing for initial assessments and reassessments, and behavior plan interventions.
- Enrolled in an Applied Behavior Analysis Master’s program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals who have Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.
- Valid Michigan driver’s license and insurance; use of personal vehicle.
- Office environment; office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Ability to travel and attend meetings and functions at various hours.
- Job travel, utilizing personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
- React and move quickly to respond to impulsive movement of clients (children and teenagers with autism); remain alert and energetic during therapy sessions.
- Lift up to 20 pounds regularly and 50 pounds infrequently.
- Walk, stand, sit frequently; may need to bend, kneel, squat, crawl, pivot, and sit on floor throughout the workday.
