Role OverviewWe’re hiring an in-office Salesforce Functional Consultant who can own outcomes end-to-end. This is a hands‑on role for someone who builds, fixes, and improves without needing layers of coordination.
You’ll work directly in Salesforce (configuration + automation + reporting), support and troubleshoot integrated systems (Dialpad/Five9 and other tools), and occasionally jump into Apex/LWC when needed. When something breaks, you investigate and resolve it. When something can be better, you redesign it and ship the improvement.
This role is 100% on‑site in Royal Oak, MI
, working closely with a small, collaborative team.
- Build and enhance Salesforce solutions (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.) using objects, fields, Flows, validation rules, Lightning pages, and automation.
- Troubleshooting & Systems Support
- Diagnose and resolve Salesforce and ecosystem issues (including telephony integrations like Dialpad/Five9). Handle bugs, workflow failures, access issues, data problems, and system performance concerns with minimal downtime.
- Apex / LWC Support (when needed)
- Read and write basic-to-intermediate Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components to support custom functionality, fixes, and integrations.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Build dashboards and reports that are accurate, actionable, and easy for stakeholders to use. Ensure data quality and reporting reliability.
- Project Delivery & Execution
- Own tasks from requirements to deployment. Track work in Jira (or similar), communicate progress, and deliver on deadlines.
- Manage users, permissions, security, data loads, backups, and general org maintenance. Support connected systems and tools as part of the broader CRM stack.
- Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies, propose better workflows, and implement improvements that increase speed, consistency, and scalability.
Skills & Qualifications
- Salesforce experience (must-have): 2+ years hands‑on administration and implementation experience
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Lightning configuration and Flow automation
- SOQL proficiency and comfort troubleshooting system behavior
- Ability to solve technical issues across tools (Salesforce + integrated platforms)
- Strong communication skills able to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Ownership mindset: you take initiative, move work forward, and don’t need hand‑holding
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent real‑world experience
- Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform App Builder, Consultant) are a strong plus
- Experience with telephony/call center integrations (Dialpad, Five9, etc.)
- Familiarity with other CRM tools (marketing automation, dialers, data tools)
