Job Description

This position supports the implementation of lean supply management principles within the BU Laboratory network. Responsibilities include materials/supplies movement and replenishment to points of use, performing cycle counts and daily replenishment routines, and interacting with laboratory staff and supply analysts to ensure material availability.

Responsibilities
  • Execute standard business processes for managing material flow for all facility types in the assigned region.
  • Participate in internal work teams focused on continuous improvement of supply replenishment processes, targeting cost and cycle time reduction.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain visual management tools (e.g., Kanban) and mistake‑proof initiatives (Labels with Photos).
Qualifications
  • 1‑2 years experience in manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, or supply chain.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems desired.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; able to interact with all staff levels.
  • Efficient planning and organizing skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Visio, etc.
