General
Summary:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates with the health‑care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification that is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, working independently and in collaboration with the principal investigator.

- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Current licensure by Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 1–2 years recent OR/PACU clinical nursing experience with demonstrated level of performance and practice
- Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test
- Certification required when it is a regulatory requirement in Michigan or a documented community standard, e.g., ACLS or OCN
- Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in the specialty area
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel
- Preferred experience in the specialty
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS or ACLS per HFHS policy
