Role Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant / Administrator to join their team on a full-time basis at their office in the TN1 area.
This is a varied role suited to someone with strong all-round experience in accounts and administration. The successful candidate will be organised, accurate and confident handling day-to-day finance and office support duties. Knowledge of Quick Books would be an advantage, although it is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Duties will include:
* Processing purchase and sales invoices
* Matching, checking and coding invoices
* Assisting with supplier and customer account queries
* Reconciling statements and accounts
* Supporting credit control and chasing outstanding payments where required
* Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records
* Assisting with payment runs and banking duties
* Inputting data accurately onto accounting systems
* Supporting month-end processes where required
* General office administration and filing
* Answering calls and emails in a professional manner
* Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal teams
* Providing wider administrative support to the business as needed
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Administrator, or similar role
* Good all-round accounts and administration experience
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A proactive and flexible approach to work
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Quick Books knowledge would be desirable but is not essential
Experience
Candidates should be comfortable working in a varied office-based role and able to manage a mix of finance and administrative duties. Previous experience using accounting software would be beneficial.
Working Hours
This is a full-time, office-based role, working Monday to Friday.
Salary
The salary for this role is £30,000–£32,000 per annum, depending on experience
