We're working with a well-established regional contractor delivering high-quality projects across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, and South London. With a strong pipeline of secured work—including local authority, commercial, schools and housing association frameworks—and a solid base of repeat private clients, this is a business that offers both stability and progression.
Due to continued growth, we're looking to appoint a capable Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team and play a key role in delivering commercial success across multiple projects.
The Quantity Surveyor RoleYou will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from tender through to final account, working closely with both pre‑construction and delivery teams.
Pre‑Contract & Tender Stage- Collaborate with the Pre‑Construction Manager and Estimator.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and cost efficiencies in tenders.
- Prepare interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Issue contractual notices and manage correspondence.
- Measure and value subcontractor works on site.
- Monitor costs, forecast performance, and report to senior management.
- Identify and implement value engineering opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Attend site and progress meetings, providing commercial input.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure financial alignment.
- Represent the business professionally at all times.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor.
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts (Traditional & Design & Build).
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ideally based within 45 minutes of Tunbridge Wells.
